Change of Date for the Hallowood Retreat and other Confirmand Information

This is a quick reminder that due to the four-day weekend, we are changing the date of the Hallowood Retreat from January 18-19, 2009 to March 29-30, 2009.

Also, the January 2009 acolyte schedule is out and is listed on the "Serving Emmanuel" page of the News Notes (which should be arriving at your homes soon) as well as at by clicking on the "Worship Leaders List" link on the Confirmation Blog (confirmationblog.org).

Secret Santa on December 22, 2008

This is a reminder that we will have our Christmas party and gift exchange during the Confirmation Class on December 22, 2008.

Each Confirmand and Pastor has drawn names for a “Secret Santa” gift. We agreed on keeping the gifts in the price range between $10 and $15.

Please remember to bring your gift with you to class.

Hallowood Retreat Dates Changed

We are moving the Hallowood Retreat from January 18-19, 2008 to March 29-30, 2009. We will have the same schedule, meaning we will leave the church after the second worship on March 29 and return home around 2 pm on Monday, March 30, 2009. (There is no school for students on March 30, 2009 in the Montgomery County schools.)
